Nowadays so many people are into pop and rock music. But I enjoy the classical music so much.

Classical musical have a dramatic style. it has a balanced phrases, the melody is natural, tuneful, and graceful. The tone color is simple, clear and light. Also have stronger dynamic contrasts, such as Mozart symphony NO.25 in G minor, which is my favorite piece, no matter how many times I listened to I still really like it, it is not like pop music can easy love it, also easy forget it.

Classical is the main part of the classic, every music genre are comes from classical period, it is different from classic piece, and still have something contacts with traditional harmony direction. So I think listen to classical music is the first stage to learn how to appreciate other music.

Classic music can let me feel relax, and far away from my vexation. The flowing melody and smooth phrase away can let me clam down. The most important is go to the concert hall to listen music is a relaxing way of health and improves quality of life. Sitting in front of the concert hall and listen to the Mozart is the enjoyment in my life.

How to practice in my way

How to practice in my way
I am learning the double bass and studied when I was ten yeas ago. I had like to share some experience for you to how to practice. Double bass is belong to the strings. The different between the brasses and strings is strings need more practice to improve the ability of each finger. So how many times you spend for every day is the most important. How can we improve the efficiency, and use less time for practice? I can give three suggestions.
Firstly, you need make a good habit when you practice, and you must think how to start before you play. Such as you can breathe in every start, the breathing is very important to play well for you. This is a good habit, It can be a signal to tell the audients I am starting play, and also can tell our self, I need value all the notes after this breath. The breathing is relationship to the technologies. So you must keep this habit.
Secondly, try to find the fun from the each piece, that can make you more passing. Whether you like this piece, it all have their own melody, if you do not like it, it just belong to you do not know the real mean of this piece, so you should know the each pieces’ background and the composers’ main idea, than put your passing and imagine to the practice, it is more helpful to find the fun of each piece.
Thirdly, Listen some recording whatever which piece you are playing. Because you did not know how is your song? It is good song or just a bad song. Listen to recording or search the related information about the recordings online. Listen thorough and repeated, in same time analyze how the players perform, Try to learn from them which you like it. After that, try to apply the technologies studied in the normal practice in order to control.
The three points are very important to practice and improve yourself. Those are the requirements to learn the music. I hope all of those are much helpful for you.

What does music means to me

Music means everything for me; even I could say except music, other things have no value for me. Because I do my best to focus on learning music, I will do my best to focus on showing the music. This is not only a career, but also it is my lifestyle. I do not want live without it, and I am sure it will not happen. My life has been tightly surrounded by music. It has deep influence on me, give me friends, job and future.
I was exposed to music through my father. He is a Music Lover, but in that period, circumstances can not allow him to leaning music, so he put this dream and hope on me. I am pleased and very gland to continue his dream, and I became a music player. Practice has filled my childhood memory. When I entry the conservatory of music, I met many friend who come from everywhere, all of them have become my good friends.
Although we use different language, we can also make the contact through our instruments. We are in the same world and have the same dream, so we communicate bout music, and compete, and then get better together. I realized, my life should be like this, and was attracted deeply to it.
The most important is that music can give me a future , it not only can be a hobby and enjoyment，but can also be a career that allow classical music to be well know, and bring the technology to the people who really enjoy music. I will do my best to let this beautiful thing become more and more accept by people.
Although I have to give up a lot for music, I am able to enjoy a world that music has opened up to me.

Reflection

Hello! Friends, I am so happy, because I am going home, it is also means I finish my whole semester. In this semester, I really appreciate my English teacher Chris. He taught me a lots, I can feel my English is improved, in especial pronunciation, grammar, reading and writing. In his class, I feel relax, interesting and also can learn a lots. I like this teach style!!! To my surprise, I am gradually like to write blog and read others journal, I like read the comments then focus on who have the different pinion and Chris always give the best advise to whole journal. Seems it is become my habit, it is much better for my study.

Petrushka

Igor stravinsky
(188-1971) was a Russian composer, pianist, and conductor, widely acknowledged as one of the most important and influential composers of 20th century music. He was a quintessentially cosmopolitan Russian who was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of the century.He first achieved international fame with three ballets commissioned by the impresario Sergei Diaghilev and performed by Diaghilev's Ballets Russes (Russian Ballets): The Firebird (1910), Petrushka (1911/1947), and The Rite of Spring (1913).

Now, I show more imformation for Petrushka.

Petrushka is a story of a Russian traditional puppet, Petrushka, who is made of straw and with a bag of sawdust as his body, but who comes to life and develops emotions.

The first since is set in carnival in st. Petersburg, a witch take puppet while play the flute to attract the audience ,suddenly,puppet come to life ,there are Petrushka ,Ballerina, Moor .

The second since is set in Little theatre . Witch kicks puppet into cell ,he feel Sadness because he was imprison and fall in love with Ballerina . He escape from cell ,but fails .When Ballerina comes , he Profess love but she reject .He drive crazy. He breaks free from his cell and attacks the Moor,

The fanal sicen is Petrushka was dead ,killed by the Moor. The scene is hushed, leaving the audience to wonder who is "real" and who is not.

stress of YST

Since I came to Yong Siew Toh conserevetory of music I have become aware that language is the main problem that causes we confusion regarding my studies . this causes lots problems such as health and time management problems . on the other hard there are other worries the future and getting a job .

In this conservatory most lessons are about academic knowledge . because of this lack of academic knowledge I always feel puzzled about the lectures . A lot of homework is too difficult to finish . I try to read books and learn by myself . but it does not work . because I also can not understand the academic books . In this way, I need spend wore time to finish my works , occupy me a lots time of practice my instrument exercise and sleep even I do not have a stable weal times . Compare to other students . I must spent wore time to finish my study , it let me lose too much free time .

Language is the problem all non English speakers stress is for the whole conservatory that about getting a job . face the problem of employment soon. we just have few choices after we graduate that to be a good soloist, major teacher or a part of orchestra. To be a good soloist is a dream for us. But it can not be realized. We not only have to with our hometown student, but also true nest of the world. You must impress the best judges but in the world. It is not about hard work. It is about opportunity. So to be a major teacher or part of an orchestra it is best choice. With the development of the world, more and more parents choose art for their children, the plenty of students graduate from conservatory, the orchestra will not increase the orchestra muers, the judges are getting stricter, so the current trend is more and more job hunters. Being pushed out of orchestras..

Stress are never become a friend , but with understanding and control you can wake it a compatible working partner. With better understanding of stress, I think I will work harder then even.

The young conductor

Actually, I do not think the young can be a good conductor . In my a pinion, conductor is the orchestra 's organizer, leader, is the soul and center of the philharmonic organization . the conductor need participation and leadership from selected chapter ,practice ,rehearsal to perform and it is a finally responsible person to the musical composition, orchestra and every perform. It is not just have very good music quality or through the higher education of music, but also need a strong organization ,management and coordination ability . How can the young do all of this?
Except this ,the other important point is the understanding of music . It is well known that same works and same orchestral in different conductor, also can appear very different styles, this also is the soul of conductor of position. every composer use they whole life to write a music , every works are deep ,maybe just have some life experience and enough musical experiences ,then could understanding the works and bring it to the player. No young can do it as well so far .
Yes,Gustavo Dudamel is a young genius for the music ,but I am not sure the people as young as him have the able to be a good conductor to leader the orchestra .
