My introduction

Hello!My friends! My name is Yuchen , I am Chinese. I play the Double bassand it is my major. Maybe you guys will be surprised about how could a girl chose this huge instrument ? Actually this is my parent's choice.

Now , I am a first year student of Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music . Before I came here , I was in middle school attend central conservatory. I can not remember anything before I started play my instrument , or I should say there is nothing worth for me to remember, so my memory was began when I was ten years old. At the beginning, I did not like the Bass and complained about everything that my parents arranged for me. I think I did not have time to relax, the only thing I could do was just practice everyday. Not only I accept this situation very passively, but also used various methods to change. I did not want to have that kind of life when I was so young.

Several years goes, an opportunity finally I have is passed the audition and enter the school I dream to admit. I gradually feel attractive feeling of classical music and accordingly found my own performing stage in the school . I always think that maybe god gave a melody to my instrument in return for my efforts. At the same time, I really understand clearly that I see music as my whole life. Looking back, although I have lost too much for Bass, while I enjoy another different world. In the end, I know all of these are my parents’ dream, but I’m very proud and pleased to help them continue finish it and I wish someday, this precious dream will come true!
